Nightflowers
Under the moon's gentle glow, fragrant blooms tell nocturnal tales, beckoning nightly pollinators to their secret garden.

Sensual, enchanting & seductive
Nightflowers is about the blue of the night, where a magical transformation unfolds in the secret garden of nocturnal blooms. As the sun dips below the horizon, an ethereal symphony of night flowers awakens, releasing their sweet and mysterious fragrances into the moonlit air. These enchanting blossoms, shrouded in darkness, beckon to a special cast of nocturnal pollinators - moths, bats, and other creatures of the night.
How nocturnal blossoms attract their pollinators.
The alluring aromas of nocturnal blossoms attract pollinators—appearing briefly in the twilight, starting in the early evening, feasting on their nectar while carrying pollen from flower to flower. This delicate exchange is vital for plant reproduction—and perhaps it’s why these scents feel so irresistibly sensual to us.
Moth-pollinated flowers are often white, perhaps to maximize whatever visibility they may have reflecting in the moonlight.
Jasmine is one of the most iconic of these night bloomers—opening at dusk, its scent intensifies as the light fades, becoming almost hypnotic in its sweetness. There's something deeply primal about it—lush, narcotic, and alive.
Blue lotus, carries a similar otherworldly quality. Revered in ancient Egypt, it was used in sacred rituals and often depicted floating in still waters under the stars. Its scent is soft yet complex—slightly aquatic, lightly spiced, with a touch of something ineffable, like the memory of a dream. It speaks to a more meditative kind of intoxication, one that lingers quietly in the background, shifting with the warmth of skin.

“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.”
― Anais Nin

Our sense of enchantment by Katherine May
"Our sense of enchantment is not triggered only by grand things; the sublime is not hiding in distant landscapes. The awe-inspiring, the numinous, is all around us, all the time. It is transformed by our deliberate attention. It becomes valuable when we value it. It becomes meaningful when we invest in meaning. The magic is of our own conjuring. Hierophany - that revelation of the sacred - is something that we bring to everyday things, rather than something that is given to us. That quality of experience that reveals to us the workings of the world, that comforts and fascinates us, that ushers us towards a greater understanding of the business of being human: it is not in itself rare. What is rare is our will to pursue it. If we wait passively to be enchanted, we could wait a long time.”
